Cherangany Member of Parliament, Joshua Kutuny, has sponsored a football tournament for his constituents that kicked off this morning.
According to Kutuny, the tourney dubbed ‘Joshua Kutuny FKF Super Cup‘, is one of his initiatives aimed at nurturing talent.
The tournament which has incorporated Football Kenya Federation(FKF), entered its 4th edition this year. It will bring together youth from across the constituency to kick start this year’s festive season.
The Saturday’s matches are being played at Yuya Primary school grounds in Kaplamai ward.
Sibanga was drawn against Chepkoiyo while Wiyeta will play against Chematich and finally Yuya will face off with Makutano.
The tournament will see over 66 football clubs drawn from the constituency compete.
The winning team will take home KSh 200,000 with the runners up pocketing KSh 100,000 and position three bagging KSh 70,000.
In addition, the legislator has pointed out that the winner will also get a complete set of uniforms and boots.
Kutuny said his constituency has a lot of talent that is yet to be tapped and pointed out that he will be organising more tournaments for the youth to showcase their talent.
