Nandi County Governor Stephen Sang has slammed Rebel Rift Valley MPs for undermining Deputy President William Ruto.
In an attack directed at MPs Joshua Kutuny(Cherangany), Alfred Keter(Nandi Hills) and Silas Tiren(Moiben), Governor Sang said it was wrong for the legislators to link the Deputy President to all the government’s failures citing the ongoing maize crisis.
Speaking at Mosoriot town, the Governor asked the trio to stop tarnishing DP Ruto’s name for their selfish political gains.
“We’re aware that these politicians are being used to ensure Ruto’s popularity in the Rift Valley drops ahead of the 2022 general election,”said Sang.
He said the Kalenjin community has become a laughing stock because of the theatrics of such leaders fond of washing their dirty linen in public.
The Governor said as a community they value Ruto’s leadership and will fully support him for the top seat in 2022.
