There were celebrations at Kapkoros Barng’etuny and Tigityo secondary schools, in Nandi Hills constituency, after area MP Alfred Keter handed them school buses.
Keter had pledged to purchase school buses for the institutions, to aid in their transportation.
The funding for the buses came from the NG-Nandi Hills Constituency Development Fund (CDF) kitty.
Keter flagged off the buses for a test drive over the weekend.
“I have delivered the two buses that I promised to Tigityo and Kapkoros to boost their mobility,”said Keter.
The legislator said this was in fulfillment of a pledge he made to the educational institutions on different occasions when he visited them.
Keter said the school buses would boost the students’ mobility as they go about their learning and extracurricular activities and expressed hope that it will also come in handy to the local community whenever needed.
