Religious leaders from Uasin Gishu county have expressed concern over high rate of teenage pregnancies especially primary school girls.
Speaking in Eldoret led by CIPK regional chairman Abubakar Bini, said that as religious leaders they need to come together to ensure that young girls should be thought good morals.
He also said that its because of long holidays and they should not be given opportunity to be free without work instead they should use the opportunity to help parents and learn good behavior.
Kesses member of parliament Kiprop Mishra also said that the government should give sex education to the youths especially girls who are vulnerable to bring awareness to stop early pregnancies.
” we have to do the measures and educate particularly the girls they are vulnerable and innocent they are starting their reproductive career. So we should take tough measure on those people who are found impregnating young girls” he said.
Most school girls this year did their exams pregnant while others had already delivered.
