Uasin Gishu County Assembly has adjourned its sittings to join Speaker David Kiplagat in mourning, following the demise of his wife.
In a motion moved by the County Assembly Chief Whip David Sing’oei, the members agreed unanimously that the assembly be adjourned so that members can attend the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Angela Mwikali Mutwol.
The Deputy Speaker Hosea Lamai had earlier asked members to stand and observe a moment of silence in honour of Mrs Mutwol.
“On behalf of all Honourable Members, staff of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our deepest condolence and heartfelt sense of the loss,”the Deputy Speaker said.
Nominated MCA Jenny Too supported the motion, saying they were not only serving as MCAs but in the house they are brothers and sisters.
The MCAs also delivered their messages of condolences to Nominated MCA Edwin Misoi following the loss of his brother.
