Mosop MP Vincent Tuwei is up in arms against teachers in his constituency over poor KCPE and KCSE results.
The MP has threatened to transfer under performing teachers in his constituency.
“I want to warn teachers that they will face transfers because we can no longer keep watching students produce low grades every year,” he said.
The lawmaker said the constituency has not produced results worth celebration in the recent past, blaming it on laxity of the teachers.
Tuwei who spoke at a function in Kaplemur, said the constituency recorded 178 E and 211 D- grades in the recently released KCSE results.
“As politicians we have been very lenient on teachers because you mean a lot when it comes to elections, but this time round because of the schools that have performed dismally I will not be kind to you,”he warned.
The MP said stakeholders can’t continue pulling together resources to improve structures in schools while teachers keep on letting them down. He said teachers who have overstayed in their current stations will be transfered.
