Nandi County Assembly Clerk Barnabas Kosgei resumed duty on Monday after staying in the cold for more than two months.
Kosgei arrived at the assembly precincts to a rousing welcome by Members of the County Assembly and his supporters.
Kosgei had been asked to go on compulsory leave to pave the way for a financial and human resource audit of the assembly by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission(EACC)
This was after a group petitioned the assembly, accusing the clerk and other senior officials of influencing the hiring of some staff and financial misappropriation.
However, following his reinstatement the clerk vowed to discharge his functions and responsibilities diligently.
