Elgeyo Marakwet Deputy Governor Wisley Rotich has warned that premature campaigns will derail the country’s development agenda.
Speaking on Tuesday in Iten town, Rotich said it was too early to start politicking and that focus should be on implementation of the Big four agenda.
“2022 politics will jeopardise the Big Four Agenda of President Uhuru Kenyatta and if possible the President should reign on some of this rogue people who want to increase the political temperature of this country,”said Rotich.
He said Kenyans are already suffering over the heated debate on 2022 succession politics.
The Deputy County boss said Kenyans will decide on whom to elect when the right time comes and urged leaders to desist from unnecessary politicking and focus on delivering services to the people.
On Jubilee party politics, Rotich asked President Kenyatta and Deputy President Dr William Ruto to firmly take charge of the party to stem rising tension.
