Following a successful court petition, Governor Stanley Kiptis’ Economic Advisor, Evans Lokabel whose contract had been terminated, has now been reinstated.
Lokabel was dismissed in a letter dated 13th December 2018, but moved to court under a certificate of urgency protesting his axing.
The Employment and Labour Relations Court in Eldoret issued a stay order on Friday pending a hearing scheduled for 5th February 2019.
“Stay be and hereby issued on the Respondents’ letter of termination of contract dated 13/12/2018 and all possible applications of the said letter ending contract pending hearing and determination of this application,”read the ruling by Judge Njagi Marete.
In the case Baringo County Government and the County Public Service Board have been named as respondents.
