Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has faulted the Education Ministry over the implementation of the new curriculum.
According to the lawmaker, all stakeholders were not involved over the introduction of the new 2-6-3-3-3 education system.
“You can not wake up just one day and say we are implementing a new curriculum when key stakeholders were not involved,”said Amisi.
On Wednesday Education CS Amina Mohamed said the rollout of the competency based curriculum will go on amid the major concerns by stakeholders.
MP Amisi also asked the National Government to find a lasting solution to teachers’ strikes to avoid constant wrangles between State and the Kenya National Union of Teachers(KNUT).
He spoke at Soil Conservation grounds when he disbursed bursary to over 1,000 bright needy students in secondary schools, colleges and universities.
This was done under his educate the needy initiative in conjunction with the National Government-Constituency Development Fund(NG-CDF) kitty.
