Trans Nzoia County Government will partner with Safaricom in a move expected to improve network connectivity in the county.
Trans Nzoia Deputy Governor who hosted officials from the network provider, led by Kitale branch marketing manager Steve Karanja, said the partnership will improve business activities in the county.
He said this was part of a continued partnership between the two institutions that will also see the strengthening of the delivery of services through improvement of ICT systems.
He said the upgrade of systems will assist in the automation of services especially the distribution of drugs as well as boosting efficiency at the revenue department.
“The move is aimed at boosting automation of services especially the distribution of drugs as well as improve services in the revenue department. Monitoring of drug distribution in the health sector will ensure efficiency in the health sector,” said Tarus.
He also revealed that as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), Safaricom limited has offered to equip several wards at the modern Trans Nzoia Teaching and Referral hospital especially maternity wing and the children wards.
