Elgeyo Marakwet Members of County Assembly resumed sittings on Tuesday after the Christmas and New Year long break.
The MCAs came back to the assembly with a full in-tray.
In a communication from the Chair, Speaker Kiplagat Sabulei said the assembly is expected to approve the supplementary seeking to subsidise the cost of Hepatitis B vaccination across the county.
This follows an Hepatitis B outbreak in the county which killed six people in the past two months.
The County Assembly boss had pledged to ensure the assembly allocates more resources towards immunisation of citizens.
Last month, Sabulei had led MCAs in a programme launched by Governor Alex Tolgos, aimed at sensitising locals on screening and vaccination against the virus.
At the same time the County Speaker emphasised that the role of legislative arm of the county government is to ensure services are delivered to the citizens.
He however called for collective efforts between the assembly and the executive to ensure the delivery of basic services is achieved.
