Nandi County Governor Stephen Sang has said the installation of a Computed Tomography(CT) Scan machine at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital has brought specialised care closer to the people.
Speaking when he visited the facility, Governor Sang said the operationalisation of the machine is a great of relief for residents who have had to travel out of the county in the past to access similar services.
“The installation of this machine is a great relief to patients who have been forced to travel out of the county for treatment,”said Sang.
The County boss said CT scan imaging machine is the first of its kind in the county and urged residents to fully utilise its services.
Nandi County has been relying on Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for specialised care.
Governor Sang pointed out that his administration was committed to ensure Universal Health care is achieved.
“We are committed in improving health care to the residents and that is why we have upgraded the referral and other facilities across the county,”he said.
The upgrade of the county referral hospital include the setting up of an oxygen plant, expansion of the ICU unit and increasing the newborn nursery capacity.
