Trans Nzoia Senator Michael Mbito has broken his silence over the deplorable state of health in the county.
Speaking during an interview with a radio station, Senator Mbito said Governor Patrick Khaemba is to blame for the ongoing crisis in the health sector.
“Why are we fearing to point a finger to the right person? The problem is Khaemba,”said Mbito.
He accused Governor Khaemba of bringing the health system to its knees by playing what he termed “a one man show”.
The Senator backed the ongoing nurses strike saying it is their constitutional right.
On Monday nurses in the county commenced their strike accusing the county government of giving them a deaf ear concerning their grievances.
The nurses have among other issues demanded that the health sector be headed by individuals with a background in health matters.
