The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) has summoned twelve Baringo MCAs over alleged misconduct.
This follows fracas that led to Silale Ward MCA Nelson Lotela hospitalized after being beaten by four KANU MCAs over disputed representation at the assembly service board.
The MCAs include; Nelson Lotela, Caroline Kessei, Maria Losile, Diana Sirti, Fransisca Cheburet and Shadrack Akeno.
Others are; Betty Birchingo, Danuel Tuwit, Ernest Kibet, Solomon Makal, Sam Limo and Zelemoi Ameja.
Also summoned are six county assembly staff led by the Deputy Clerk Winny Chemase.
“The Commission pursuant to its constitutional and statutory mandate as set out inter alia under article 252(1)(a) and (d) of the constitution section 11 of the EACC Act 2011 and section 4(2) and 42(10) of the Leadership and Integrity Act 2012 is carrying out investigations into allegations of abuse of office and unethical conduct by state officers,”reads the summon letter dated 20th November.
Last week the court halted the disbandment of the county assembly board.
