Revellers in Eldoret town have called for a boycott of the popular Club Rumours after a bouncer beat up a customer.
According to claims on social media the bouncer, who was later arrested and locked up at Naiberi Police station, beat up and injured a customer nicknamed “Zebra”. The victim is now admitted at an Eldoret hospital.
The frequent brawls involving doormen and customers at the club located at Poa Place has now gone viral and caused an outcry.
It is alleged that it is not the first time the bouncers at this particular venue caused controversy, with a similar scene occurring severally this year.
The claims have caused a huge public backlash. However it is not yet clear what the spark behind the violent incident was.
One person said: “Everyone should boycott Club Rumours until they get their house in order.”
A second wrote: “Disgusting bullies”
Another said: “I have been to Club Rumours on loads of occasions. I also have witnessed the brutal behaviour of these so-called bouncers.
Another social media user claimed the bouncers have been telling everyone they are untouchable as they are close to a senior security official.
