Baringo Senator Gideon Moi on Saturday dumped his top-of-the range vehicle to ride on a boda boda.
The Senator had landed in a chopper at a primary school grounds while heading to a function in a village some kilometers away.
This has elicited mixed reactions on social media since ordinarily, politicians and high class Kenyans would never resort to using a boda boda as it is regarded a transport means for the ordinary person.
Senator Moi who is attending a function in Muranga county opted to ride on a motorcycle covering a number of kilometers, something which many people did not expect from him.
It was a rare moment but equally spectacular at the same time.
However, his critics did not waste time hitting back over the photo circulated on social media. They accused the KANU chairman of having no regard for road safety.
They said the Senator flouted traffic rules as he rode on a boda boda without protective gear; helmet and reflector jacket.
