Nandi County Government on Tuesday distributed a consignment of treatment drugs worth Sh 22 million to all its health facilities.
Deputy Governor Dr Yulita Cheruiyot who flagged off lorries and pickups ferrying the medicine at the county referral hospital in Kapsabet, said they are committed to promote the health of residents.
“We are committed to ensure a sustained continuity and adequate supply of drugs to our health facilities,”said the Deputy Governor.
She pointed out that good health for Nandi residents remains a priority to Governor Stephen Sang’s administration.
All the 149 health facilities across the County will be supplied with the drugs that are expected to last the facilities until mid-January 2019.
Also speaking the County Executive Committee Member (CeC) in charge of Health Services Ruth Koech, said another consignment of non-pharmaceuticals will be disbursed by end of the week.
She said health facilities across the county will be fully equipped to offer quality services to the locals.
