Academic giants in Rift Valley Province Kapsabet Boys High school upstaged rivals in the North Rift region by producing seven students among the top 100 candidates nationally.
Kapsabet Boys was among schools from the Rift Valley region that dominated top positions.
The seven students who made to the top 100 list include; Whitney Nicanor Mabwi, Malit Griffins Kiprono, Ian Kiplagat, Kiplongei Kiptanui Allan, Kiprop Fortunatus, Ngoge William Kaiser and Lusweti Luke Kerry.
They took positions; 13,22,24,25,38,44 and 60 in that order.
The school produced the 3rd best candidate in Rift Valley.
Kapsabet Boys got 26 straight As and several other A- (minus) by the time of going to press, beating a target of 20 As that had been set by the 2018 class of 331 candidates.
“This is an improvement compared to the three straight As we had last year. We had also scored a mean score of 9.3,” said Kipchumba Maiyo, the school Principal, who attributed the impressive results to teamwork and commitment among parents, staff and students.
