“We wish to invite all suppliers/contractors for a one day sensitization program training on e-procurement(sourcing) on Monday 17th December 2018 at the Supply Chain Management Boardroom from 8 am to 2 pm. You are encouraged to carry your company certificates,”read the invite.
During his State of the County Address a week ago, Governor Josphat Nanok disclosed that his government is in the process of automating financial systems and has introduced e-procurement and e-sourcing for the tendering process, supported by IFMIS.
He pointed out that the adoption of the automated procurement and payment system will improve financial accountability.
“IFMIS has been decentralised to departments and the County Treasury has trained officers in its usage as well as undertaken supplier sensitization program on suppliers self-registration on the IFMIS Suppliers portal and e-procurement (e-sourcing) in collaboration with the national treasury,”added Nanok.
