Kapenguria MP Samuel Moroto has expressed concerns over frequent power outages in Kapenguria.
Moroto has threatened to sue Kenya Power accusing the Company of poor costumer services that has greatly affected its service delivery to the locals.
Speaking in Makutano town, Moroto called for the transfer of Kenya Power officers working in the area.
“Records indicate that a lot of money has been pumped to West Pokot County yet we still use generators, 55 years after independence,” he said.
Moroto called of an overhaul in the management of the Company in the region for sleeping on their job.
“We are losing millions of shillings due to power outages in this town and we are giving the management two weeks to solve the problem or we will move to court to demand compensation,” said Moroto.
