A section of residents in Trans Nzoia County have demanded for the resignation of Health CEC Christine Tanguli.
On Wednesday, the residents held peaceful demonstrations decrying poor health services at the Cherangany Sub County hospital in Kachibora.
They alleged negligence in the hospital and criticised health officials for showing little interest in improvement of services at the facility.
They accused the Health CEC of neglecting the facility which they said is currently facing drug shortage. They said despite having reported the matter, she has failed to take action over the matter.
Their sentiments were echoed by the chairman of National Nurses Association of Kenya Trans Nzoia branch Franklin Kosgei who faulted the County government for appointing non-medics to head the health docket.
Kosgei urged the County government to dissolve the management of the health docket and form a new one.
