Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut wants the government to fully compensate families of Kenya Defense Forces(KDF) soldiers who lose their lives in the line of duty.
Chepkut said the government should also take care of the education needs for children of fallen soldiers who die protecting this country.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service at Kimbilio Palliative Care Centre in Kipkorgot, the MP said he has drafted a bill seeking to compel State to provide financial support to the families.
“In solidarity with our fallen heroes, the State should compensate the families fully. They sppuses should be remunerated and earn the salaries they were supposed to get until retirement,”said Chepkut.
The legislator said financial compensation will go a long way in helping the families heal.
