Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa now wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to tell Kenyans why he fired Sports CS Rashid Echesa.
Speaking in Kitale during a function at the National Polytechnic, Wamalwa said chapter 35 of the Constitution gives Kenyans a right to access information.
He said it was therefore important for Kenyans to know the reasons behind Echesa’s dismissal.
“Chapter 35 of the Constitution provides that Kenyans have a right to information and therefore should know why Echesa was sacked, if it’s because of corruption then it should apply to everyone and not the chosen few,”said Wamalwa.
He said the president should stand firm in his war against corruption.
On Friday, president Uhuru named Amina Mohamed as the sports CS in a reshuffle which also saw George Magokha nominated Education CS.
The lawmaker however lauded the nomination of Magoha as the Education CS.
