Baringo county assembly members summoned by the anti-graft agency over a controversial training trip to Tanzania have started appearing before the commission.
The first batch of five MCAs appeared on Monday 14th October, before the South Rift region Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission offices for interrogation.
The Speaker of the County Assembly David Kiplagat and 21 ward reps are alleged to have fraudulently pocketed cash over the trip in April this year.
The commission two weeks ago summoned the Speaker, Finance CEC, Finance CO, MCAs, Sergeant at arms, clerks and drivers to shed more light on corruption allegation during the trip.
They were required to carry their original travel documents used during the trip early this year.
According to a letter received on October 11 by the county assembly clerk, the MCAs were to appear before the commission in intervals from October 14 to 23.
