West Pokot Governor Prof John Lonyangapuo is set to meet with all county government employees on Friday.
In a memo through the acting County Secretary John Karamunya, Governor Lonyangapuo has asked all the county staff to attend the meeting.
The meeting will be held at the Governor’s office and is expected to kick off at 8 am.
“His Excellency the Governor wishes to meet all staff at the Governor’s office tomorrow, Friday 8th November, at 8.15 am. All staff should purpose to attend,” read the memo.
According to sources the meeting is meant to help the county leader get to know the employees.
There have been speculations that the county boss intends to use the opportunity to urge the workers to support his administration to enable him deliver his pledges.
Governor Lonyangapuo inherited a huge number of staff from the previous regime, headed by his political archrival Simon Kachapin.
The duo have been at loggerheads over the running of the devolved units, with Kachapin accusing his successor of riding on projects he initiated.
