Uasin Gishu Women Rep Gladys Boss Shollei has said she will petition the Jubilee party to expel party members who supported ODM in the Kibra mini poll.
Speaking to the media in Eldoret town on Friday morning, Shollei said the by elections in the city constituency had exposed moles in Jubilee party.
The vocal lawmaker said the party constitution doesn’t allow a member to actively drum up support for another party.
“Our party’s constitution doesn’t allow member to promote the ideologies of another party,”said Shollei.
Citing Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and Nominated MP Maina Kamanda, Shollei said it was embarrassing to see a section of Jubilee members campaigning for ODM’s candidate Benard Imran Okoth.
Article 103 of the Constitution states that a person who promotes the ideology, interests or policies of another political party other than the one that sponsored the Member to the House shall be deemed to have resigned from the previous political party.
