West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo received an award in US for improved maternal healthcare. The Governor received the Saving Mothers Service Award in New York for service, leadership and devotion to Women’s health.
Stephen Sang, Nandi Governor:
Nandi County Governor Stephen Sang received a top recognition as he was listed among top 100 most influential young Africans. Governor Sang was elected the youngest governor in Kenya at the age of 32. He has initiated a number of development projects in his county to uplift the living standards of residents.

Uasin Gishu Senator Prof Margaret Kamar was awarded by Mzalendo.com for her role towsrds achievement of food security. The Shujaa Award recognises outsanding leaders who champion important issues through legislation in Parliament. The Senator was also appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to be a Trustee of the National Fund for the disabled.
