Nandi County Senator Samson Cherargei has hit out at the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji.
Speaking in Mosop constituency on Saturday, Cherargei branded Haji ‘Director of Political Persecution‘.
“Noordin Haji is no longer the DPP he has become the director of political persecution,” said Cherargei.
The controversial senator who was arrested for a second time last week over hate speech claimed that DPP is clamoring for news headlines.
He said the DPP and Interior CS Dr Fred Matiang’i are being used to fight political wars.
“We will not allow you to play politics with the law of this country, do your work diligently because Kenyans want justice,” he said.
The Senator slammed Matiang’i asking him to respect elected leaders.
“Matiang’i can’t even win a cattle dip chairmanship post in his Nyamira home, he should not lecture us here,” added the Senator.
The lawmaker has accused Matiang’i of being behind his arrest last week.
Tbe Senator was arrested and released on a three hundred thousand cash bail by a Mililani law court over charges of incitement to violence.
According to court papers, Cherargei made the incitement to violence remarks on various dates in the month of August this year.
