Baringo County Deputy Governor Jacob Chepkwony on Wednesday flagged off a garbage truck to reinforce garbage collection in Eldama Ravine.
Speaking during the flag off ceremony, the Deputy Governor said the truck is part of the county government’s project to collect and manage garbage.
“We want to make sure Eldama Ravine town is clean, and that is why we have acquired this truck to scale up garbage collection,”said Chepkwony.
The Deputy Governor also launched the plot documents verification exercise for Nubian and KCC estates in Eldama Ravine town.
He said the move was aimed at ensuring urban centres are adequately planned and other areas surveyed for residents to own land.
Chepkwony further assured residents that the county government will continue facilitating the acquisition of land ownership documents.
