Elgeyo Marakwet County will airlift 25 students to to study nursing in Finland.
On Wednesday, Governor Alex Tolgos received officials from the Tampere University of Applied Sciences to finalize travel arrangements.
The officials who visited the county included Maggie Nurminen(Economic Development Officer, City of Tempere) and Dr Carita Prokki(Director, University of Tempere).
Speaking during the courtesy visit, the officials said they were looking forward to the arrival of the first batch of students as soon as their travel arrangements were completed.
The students were picked after being subjected to a suitability exam at the Kenya Medical Training College(KMTC), Iten Campus.
The airlift program is part of a signed partnership between the county and Tempere university.
