Moiben MP Silas Tiren who has severed ties with Deputy President William Ruto is among leaders who joined President Uhuru Kenyatta in Mombasa.
The Jubilee lawmaker, was spotted in the company of President Uhuru yesterday when the head of State interacted with Malkia strikers at Mama Ngina waterfront.
Tiren has avoided all functions attended by Ruto, including those within the county.
This has in the past fuelled speculations that he has made up his mind to ditch Ruto’s camp.
Majority of the elected leaders in Uasin Gishu County are allied to Tangatanga camp and it will be interesting to see how Tiren will survive for daring to go against the political grain.
The lawmaker has been vocal on issues affecting farmers and were among those who called for the resignation of Former CS Mwangi Kiunjuri who was sacked.
