The selection process of the West Pokot County Public Service Board Secretary/Chief Executive Officer(CEO) has been advertised afresh.
The position was re-advertised following a tussle between the executive and the county assembly which led to the rejection of an initial nominee.
West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo had nominated Victoria Tumaini as the Secretary and CEO of the board but was rejected by the assembly.
19 Members of County Assembly voted to reject Ms Tumaini, who hails from Tana River County. She has since been nominated in Tana River county for the same position.
In the advert in local dailies, the County Government said applicants for the post must be female and preferably from minority community.
The successful candidate will serve as the CEO for a non renewable contract of six years.
