Police were called into action when a woman stormed the home of Cherangy MP Joshua Kutuny at night and caused commotion.
The woman identified as Joilyne Chemutai stormed the home in Nairobi’s leafy suburbs of Karen and demanded for child support.
She claimed the MP sired a kid with her and had neglected them.
Chemutai wailed loudly, raising alarm that attracted the attention of the security officers. She claimed someone wanted to kill her.
Two police officers who arrived at the home (Emmanuel Maiyo and Mercy Ng’eno ) were forced to shoot into the air to bring the situation to normalcy.
Chemutai was later escorted to Hardy Police Station where she recorded a statement.
Meanwhile, Nairobi county police boss Philip Ndolo has said police are not doing further investigations into the incident as the matter is a private affair between the MP and the woman.
“Police were supposed to maintain law and order which they did. Now the rest of the issue is upon the two to sort out,” Ndolo is quoted by a section of the media.
