Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has termed the arrest of Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng’eno ‘foolish’.
Through his Twitter handle, Murkomen said the legislator was arrested allegedly while on a meet-the-people tour in his constituency.
He said Ng’eno is being accused of holding a BBI meeting without permission.
“Mheshimiwa Johanna Ng’eno has been arrested while on a meet the people tour in his county. Accused of holding a meeting without the permission of BBI secretariat,” said Murkomen.
“It can’t get more foolish than this,” he added.
The MP was arrested with two Members MCAs with police saying they were conducting parallel BBI consultative forums.
The MCAs are Jefferson Langat(Ololulunga Ward) and Stanley Langat(Ilkerin ward).
The three are being held at the Ololulunga police station.
According to police, they were tipped that the three were having a meeting in the form of BBI forum at the Kimogoro sub-county in Narok.
