Uasin Gishu County Senator Prof Margaret Kamar has embarked on a grassroots agenda to promote student’s enrollment to technical training institutions.
Backed with Government funding opportunities as well as the availability of students loans through the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Senator Kamar observed that there are no more excuses for youth other than enrolling.
Through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Portal, students select their preferred courses as well as an institution of choice across the country. The Government allocates a student capitation of Sh30,000 for tuition.
Senator Kamar has since welcomed those seeking assistance in college application to visit her office for career guidance and application process.
