The National Government will mount big screens in strategic points in Baringo County to stream live the memorial service and state funeral proceedings of Former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.
According to Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua, broadcasting screens will be mounted in Sacho, Ravine and Kabarnet towns.
The State will also set up a viewing point in Nakuru town.
Kinyua said this is in recognition of the special place the Late Mzee Moi held in the hearts of Baringo and Nakuru residents.
“In recognition of the special place Mzee Moi held in the hearts of the residents of Nakuru and Baringo Counties; having directly represented them in Legco and later on to Parliament for five decades; Broadcasting-Screens will be mounted in designated public places in Nakuru, Sacho, Ravine and Karbenet so as to accord the residents an opportunity to follow the National Memorial Service and the State Funeral Proceedings,”said Kinyua in a press briefing.
The former president will be laid to rest at his Kabarak home on Wednesday, 12th February.
