Deputy President William Ruto will today(Friday) make an extensive development visit in Nandi County.
The Deputy President will start is development tour in Chepterwai Mosop constituency where he will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Chepterwai hospital. While in Chepterwai, Ruto will also preside over the issuance of title deeds.
Ruto will then head to Kechire Secondary school in Chesumei constituency where he will present a school bus.
In his itinerary, the deputy president is also expected at St. Joseph’s Girls school to inspect the ongoing construction of school building complex.
From there he will be in Kapsabet Girls, Emgwen constituency, to officially open a new school building complex.
DP Ruto will concluded his development tour at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital where he will commission 10 new ambulances that were recently acquired by the County Government of Nandi.
On Thursday, Nandi Governor Stephen Sang urged residents to turn out in large numbers to welcome the Deputy President.
The visit comes in the wake of calls by MPs allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga that Ruto should resign or be impeached.
The Deputy President had last week come out claiming that there was a grand scheme to stop him from ascending to the presidency in 2022.
The debate is expected to dominate during his visit in Nandi, his home turf.
