Nandi County Women Rep Dr Tecla Tim has kicked off the distribution of 150 bags of maize to cushion vulnerable families from effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
The exercise, which targets Persons Living with Disabilities and squatters kicked off on Sunday in Serengonik, Siksik, Mwein and Ngatipkong villages.
According to the Women Rep, the donation is part of her support to vulnerable families during the tough economic times.
She said Covid-19 pandemic has made it difficult for many families to afford food and the 150 bags of dry maize will be of great help.
The lawmaker has further urged residents to strictly adhere to the government directives on Covid-19 prevention.
