Deputy President William Ruto has scored the first goal in the fight for control of the Jubilee Party.
This is after the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu put on hold changes to top Jubilee Party National Management Committee(NMC) officials.
In a letter to Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju, the Registrar of Political Parties said objections of the changes should be addressed in accordance to the party constitution and structures.
DP Ruto allies mobilized themselves and wrote protest letters over the plan to change Jubilee party officials.
According to the Registrar of Political Parties, they received 350 written objections of members of the Jubilee Party in regards to the changes they termed as fraudulent.
Ruto, who doubles up as the party leader had also said the changes were the works of political rejects, conmen and fraudsters whose party allegiance is already elsewhere.
