Nandi County Government has waived levies for Public Service Vehicles(PSVs) for the next three months.
According to the County Finance Minister Alfred Lagat, the 50 per cent waiver is aimed at cushioning sector players as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The waiver will be effective for the months of April, May and June.
However, the County Government said following the waiver the matatu industry must strictly observe the guidelines from the Ministry of Health.
Further, the devolved unit noted that the waiver was on on condition that there will be no fare hikes within the three month period.
