Baringo County Senator Gideon Moi has today flagged off the distribution of 20,000 face masks to boost the fight against Covid-19.
Senator Moi flagged of the distribution of the fist batch of 20,000 masks and sanitizer to at Kabarak targeting those offering essential services.
The beneficiaries will include; frontline health workers, PSV operators, boda boda riders and vegetable vendors.
The legislator said the masks manufactured at Kabarak University tailoring shop will be distributed in Baringo and neighbouring counties.
“As a family we have decided that we will give masks to my county Baringo and other counties,”said Moi.
The Senator said the unbranded masks meet quality standards.
He was flanked by Baringo County Commissioner Henry Wafula who pledged to ensure the items reaches all the sub counties in the county.
