Newly-appointed Majority Chief Whip Emmanuel Wangwe has written to the National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi officially notifying him of the discharge of Aldai MP Cornelly Serem from Departmental Committee on Trade, Industry and Co-operatives.
In a letter dated June 17, Wangwe said this was in line with Standing Order 176.
“This is therefore to inform you that the Majority Party hereby discharges The Hon Cornelly Serem, MP from the membership of the Departmental Committee on Trade,Industry and Co-operatives. Kindly do communicate the decision of the party to the Member and the House” the letter read.
The letter was copied to the Aldai Mp, National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale and clerk Michael Sialai.
Serem is close ally of the Deputy President William Ruto.
