Kacheliba MP Mark Lomunokol has opposed the proposed new revenue sharing formula.
The legislator said the new formula has used population as a basic denominator ignoring poverty levels.
According to Lomunokol, marginalized areas will lose if the formula is adopted.
“I am against the formula because it intends to marginalize the most marginalized places that have been marginalized since independence,”said Lomunokol.
He said the formula will further push marginalised areas to poverty.
Under the proposed formula, the share of poverty in determining allocation will drop to 15 per cent from the current 20 per cent.
