Pokot South MP David Pkosing and his Marakwet West counterpart William Kisang survived the purge being undertaken by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the House Committees leadership changes.
The changes made this week saw Pkosing and Kisang retained as Chairperson in their respective committees.
Pkosing will continue serving as the chairperson of the powerful Transport Committee with Kisang also retaining his post as the chair of the ICT committee.
The two allies of Deputy President William Ruto, are said to have been saved by Cabinet Secretaries serving in the same dockets.
Pkosing’s retention was reportedly influenced by Transport CS James Macharia over their good working relationship.
Kisang’s retention is said to have been influenced by ICT CS Joe Mucheru.
The duo are among the few close allies of DP Ruto who survived the purge.
