Uasin Gishu Women Rep Gladys Boss Shollei has said the constitution that Kenyans fought for is dead.
Her remarks come following alleged attempt to arrest Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi tonight.
The lawmaker said Sudi’s homestead has been surrounded by police officers and wondered why he wasn’t arrested during the day.
“I am sad to announce that the Constitution Kenyans fought for is dead. Right now there are three truckloads of police at Kapseret center and others surrounding Hon. Sudi’s homestead at Kapseret in Uasin Gishu County. Why arrest him now at night. He was available in broad daylight earlier today,” said Shollei.
Sudi had also posted that police have surrounded his homestead in what he termed as attempts to arrest him over his hard-hitting statement against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his family.
“Police Officers have now surrounded my entire compound in Kapseret,” Sudi posted.
The Kapseret MP had earlier today held a massive rally at Eldoret town where he continued his attack on Uhuru allies, who he accused of being involved in the theft of Covid-19 funds.
Shollei had also come out yesterday claiming that the arrest of Emurua Dikirr MP Ngong’ Ng’eno and the planned arrest of Sudi was an attempt to divert the attention of Kenyans from the Covid-19 funds theft and KEMSA scandal.
