Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday made a surprise visit to Jubilee party headquarters.
Though details of the afternoon visit remains scanty, his social media strategist Dennis Itumbi has disclosed that DP Ruto was there to hold a meeting with senior party officials over forthcoming by elections in various parts of the country.
According to Itumbi, DP Ruto will be coordinating the party’s activities as it readies to field candidates in the by elections slated for 15th December.
The by elections will be held in Msambweni constituency,Kahawa Wendani, Kisumu North, Dabaso, Wundanyi and Lake View Ward in Nakuru.
The DP is said to have scheduled the meeting with senior party officials led by Tuju, but the latter reportedly checked out earlier before Ruto’s arrival for a ‘doctors appointment’.
The DP posted that he was attending to party matters and was in the company of Langata MP Nixon Korir.
In the photos shared Ruto is also seen mingling with chefs at the party’s cafeteria.

This comes in the wake of wrangling within the ruling party that have seen rival camps emerge with one faction in support of the deputy president’s quest for the presidency with the other appearing to be pulling all stops to halt his presidential ambitions.
