Uasin Gishu County Senator Prof Margaret Kamar has called on youth in the County to consider joining saccos in order to empower themselves financially.
She said savings and credit co-operative societies and other forms of savings will be the only forms of investments that youth can get involved in to help them grow economically.
Speaking when she donated Sh100,000 to Smatkkey youth sacco, Kamar said saving is the best way of investing especially among the youth.
Smatkkey Sacco is a youth based sacco that was established to empower youth in the county. The Sh100,000 donation by Senator Kamar will boost the savings.
