Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Kiplagat Mandago has been ranked as the best performing county chief in the Rift Valley region.
Governor Mandago topped in the region with a 53.10 per cent score in the latest Infotrak perception survey on the performance of county governments and governors.
The second term governor received the highest approval rating as seen against set key performance indicators.
In the survey, the research firm sought to ascertain county residents’ assessment on the performance of their elected leaders especially in ensuring a smooth rollout of devolved functions as well as the availability of county government services to the people.
The governors and their county’s performances were determined by their implementation of devolved functions such as agriculture, health, education, water management, social services, environment, and natural resources amongst others.
