Pokot South MP David Pkosing has thrown his weight behind the Building Bridges Initiative report.
He said the report had captured a number of issues that directly affect the Pokot community.
The signature collection was launched on Wednesday by President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Pkosing in a post said West Pokot county will through the Constitutional Amendment Bill 2020 get an additional constituency.
The lawmaker also pointed out that through BBI Constituency Development Fund(CDF) will be institutionalized.
He also highlighted the establishment of the Ward Fund and the increase in revenue allocation to counties from 15 to 35 per cent.
The BBI has continued to draw mixed reactions. Those in Uhuru-Raila camp have supported it, while those in DP William Ruto’s camp are still cagey about it.
However, Pkosing who is a close ally of DP Ruto, said he was fully behind BBI and encouraged residents to read the document.
“As early adopter of the Bill and having attended the signature launch, let your signature count. One day history will be written, you will get a read if not a mention. How great to he part of history,” said Pkosing.
